Dr. Christy Cable is a 1994 graduate of the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed an internship and then a 3 year residence in Large Animal Surgery. After her residency, she was a staff surgeon in the large animal surgery department at Cornell University for a year, becoming board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1999. In 2000, Dr. Cable and her previous partner started an equine practice in Lansing, New York called Early Winter Equine. Dr. Cable has always had a very soft spot for cats in general , especially barn and feral cats , so when the opportunity came in 2003, she joined the board of directors for Shelter Outreach Services and has been working for SOS when time allows ever since. As of January, 2013 Dr. Cable joined SOS on a more permanent basis while still practicing equine medicine 4 days a week.
